Three million students graduate from U.S. high schools every year. Most of them have the chance to continue their education and contribute to American society. But about 65,000 of these graduates, despite having lived in the U.S. for most of their lives, are denied this opportunity because they are labeled illegal immigrants.

Many of us will remember the inspiring visit last February of the four Trail of Dreams walkers who came to Atlanta on their way from Florida to Washington, D.C., to advocate for the DREAM Act. Each of them is an undocumented student. Now almost five months later we can help them move this bill from a legislative proposal to a law.
